When you think of the perfect romantic escape, what comes to mind? Maybe it’s waking up beside your partner to the sound of birdsong, sipping coffee with a view of the Tetons, or cozying up under the stars by a fire with nowhere else to be. For us, all of that came true during a recent three-night stay at Tammah Jackson Hole, a glamping resort that redefines romance in the wild.
Set just outside Grand Teton National Park and a short drive from Jackson, Wyoming, Tammah invites couples to slow down, connect with nature, and rediscover each other. With three full nights to unplug and unwind, we experienced just how healing, joyful, and intimate time in the wild can be—especially when it’s done with this much care and intention.
Arrival: Letting Go of the Outside World
Pulling into the quiet sanctuary of Tammah, we immediately felt the shift. Gone were the notifications and deadlines; in their place: open skies, golden meadows, and the majestic presence of the Tetons. The resort blends into its surroundings with understated elegance—geodesic domes dot the landscape like modern-day cabins, designed to immerse guests in the scenery without sacrificing comfort.

Check-in was warm and simple. The staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and thoughtful tips on how to make the most of our stay. They handed us a map of the property and nearby nature spots, then guided us to our dome—our home for the next three nights.
Our Dome: Cozy, Comfortable, and Totally Ours
Our dome was spacious yet minimal, designed to inspire relaxation and reflection. Inside, we found a king-sized bed with soft, luxurious linens, a private ensuite bathroom with a hot shower, and earthy décor that echoed the natural world just outside our door. Every detail felt intentional.

But the real magic was outside. Each dome has a private deck with Adirondack chairs, perfect for morning coffee, evening wine, and stargazing wrapped in a blanket. There was no TV, no buzz of city life—just space to breathe, talk, and be together. It felt like our own private hideaway in the heart of the West.

We had three nights to settle in, and that extra time made all the difference. Instead of rushing to squeeze in hikes and photos, we allowed ourselves to linger—to watch a sunrise without thinking about what came next, to take slow walks on the property, and to truly let go.

Fireside Magic and Starry Skies
Each evening, we wandered to the communal fire pits. This shared space at Tammah was a perfect mix of community and intimacy—you can chat with other travelers or nestle quietly into your own moment by the flames.

With clear skies and almost no light pollution, stargazing at Tammah is nothing short of breathtaking. Over three nights, we witnessed constellations slowly drift across the sky, made wishes on shooting stars, and soaked in the kind of silence you can only find in places far from highways and cities.
It was the kind of nightly ritual that feels deeply connective: to the sky, to the land, and to each other.

Three Days of Adventure and Intention
With three full days to explore, we were able to create a perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. Each day had its own rhythm, guided not by schedules but by sunrise, hunger, and whim.
Day 1: Arrival and Unwinding

After settling into our dome and walking the property, we decided to stay close to Tammah for the evening. We brought snacks and drinks to enjoy on our deck, followed by s’mores and storytelling at the fire pit. There’s something deeply romantic about doing absolutely nothing—with intention. That first night, we fell asleep to the breeze drifting through the dome and the sound of coyotes calling in the distance.

Day 2: Grand Teton Exploration
Our second day started early. I woke up to try to get a glimpse of the sun rising above the Tetons and slipped out quietly without waking my fiancé. I walked over to the main building, where fresh coffee and breakfast is available to guests daily and put together a tray to take back to the dome. It was the morning of my fiancé’s 36th birthday and I wanted to surprise him with breakfast in bed.

After enjoying a slow morning and taking in the sweeping views with breakfast, we got ready to head to Grand Teton National Park. With the entrance to the park being under five minutes away, staying at Tammah was truly like a luxury gateway to the great outdoors. We decided to hike Death Canyon and Taggart Lake; A fairly strenuous ten mile loop, this hike offered breathtaking views around every corner. Additionally, the length and difficulty of the hike makes it less popular and we had the trail to ourselves for the majority of our adventure. Ten miles later, we eagerly headed back to Tammah in need of some rest and relaxation.
Day 3: Rest, Reflect, and Reconnect
After the prior day’s grueling ten mile hike, we embraced a slower pace the following day. We got up fairly early, and headed over to the main building to get coffee and breakfast. We returned to our dome with heaping breakfast trays, eager to soak in the views while enjoying our food and each other’s company. After having our fill, we decided to head to Grand Teton National Park for another memorable hike. I assured my fiancé that I had chosen a “short and easy” hike after what we had put our bodies through the day before. In my defense, the hike was 3 miles shorter, clocking in at around 7 miles round trip and less than half the elevation gain of the hike the day prior.

That afternoon was spent journaling, napping, and soaking in our last full day in the dome.
Day 4: Sunrise Sauna

On the morning of our last day at Tammah, we got up just after sunrise and headed to the sauna. Although use of the sauna is available for all guest over the age of 14, Tammah requires advance reservations for use. This allows for guests to enjoy a private sauna experience and staff ensures the sauna is hot and ready to go for guests desired time slot. Having the sauna all to ourselves, especially as the sun slowly rose love the Tetons, was a magical and romantic experience we will cherish forever. After two days of heavy hiking, the sauna provided the recovery and detox our bodies needed. After quick showers, we packed up and grabbed breakfast to go from the main building. I sipped coffee from the metal camping mug I purchased from the gift shop as we pulled out of Tammah and I watched as it disappeared into the background from the rearview mirror.

Intentional Amenities for Couples
Tammah isn’t a resort trying to impress you with bells and whistles. It’s a sanctuary that invites you to strip away distractions and step into presence. Every part of the experience is intentionally designed to support connection—whether that’s with your partner, yourself, or the natural world around you.
Some highlights include:
- Private, solar-lit pathways between domes
