lodging
Hotel Indigo Mt. Pleasant
Modern, boutique-style hotel
Nice aspects of this hotel include that they are pet-friendly and family-friendly. They have a 24-hour fitness center, a restaurant and bar on-site, and a resort style heated pool complete with plenty of chairs, sun loungers (both pool-side and in the pool!), and cabanas (at no extra price). The outdoor area also features a variety of outdoor games perfect for entertaining kids and adults alike.
I stayed in a king ‘suite’ which included a living room area. The room also had a mini-fridge perfect for the groceries I picked up from the nearby Trader Joe’s.

food + drink
Tavern & Table
Casual, rustic-chic restaurant with a waterfront deck offering a locally sourced New American menu.
I HIGHLY recommend trying the Italian flatbread which has house Italian sausage, pepperoni, robusto sauce, provolone piccante cheese, parmigiano-reggiano, basil. For drinks, both the seasonal sangria (pinot grigio, rosemary, pressed apple cider, aperol, aranciata rossa) and Grapefruit Rosemary Collins (hangar one vodka, fresh grapefruit, rosemary, house-made sour, soda) were delicious.

Handcraft Kitchen & Cocktails
The food, cocktails, and atmosphere did not disappoint! I tried the handcraft hummus – (harissa, extra virgin olive oil, onions, garlic, warm pita) and the ‘Beau Garden’ (Vodka infused with basil and rosemary, lemon-thyme syrup, aloe liqueur, lemon, ice crystals).
735 Coleman Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464
Saltwater Cowboys
Smoked meats, local seafood & a robust drink menu in a sprawling locale directly on Shem Creek. I got to enjoy great sunset views while having dinner on their rooftop level.

Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park is a great place to relax and enjoy beautiful views of the Arthur Ravenel Bridge and the Charleston Harbor. The park, located under the Ravenel bridge, has a 1250-foot long pier that stretches out into Charleston Harbor. Guests can sit on bench swings, relax in rocking chairs, or do a little fishing. The park, which honors local war veterans, has a sculpture with the names of local veterans killed in action. Visitors will also find picnic tables, playground, store, and public restrooms.
